This is really difficult because sometimes parents forget a chore that the child have to do and so they miss an important task of the day. Guidelines for creating a Chore List for your kids

Creating a chore list for your child is not a big deal and anyone who wants to make their children responsibility and organized without having any entitled attitude in them should create a chore list for them in their early age. It is because that children never forget  things that they learned in their early age. Chore list is very easy to create however it needs a little investment of your time to make your child learn. Here are a couple of important steps that will help you in making and implementing a chore list for your child.

  • It is good to make a chore list for your child at the age of two. This is the time when a child starts understanding things that his parents do. While making a chore list for your child consider the age group as you have to create excitement and too much burden will make them overwhelming. Enlist all the chores that you think suits the age of your child. For example, a chore list for the age of 2 to 4 will include, making the bed, brushing teeth, brushing hair, put the wrappers and other waste products in the dust bin, put the laundry in hamper, feed pets if are safe for children and put toys at the right place when they stop playing.
  • After listing each task on the chore list, assign a proper time that you think your child has to practice.
  • Initially, try to help your child in learning so that at the time of each chore stay beside your child. This will not only encourage your kid but at the same time will help him in learning the proper way of performing a task.
  • Set rewards for your child on each accomplishment. The rewards should be tangible and intangible means along with a gift you have to praise your child, especially in front of your friends. This will motivate your child.
  • For the children under the age of 6, practically tell them what is their responsibility while for children over the age of 6, paste the chore list in the kitchen or in their bedroom.
